Symptoms

When Dell PowerStore encounters a problem, an error alert is generated to help identify the issue. This article explains the different possible causes and the relevant solutions for these error alerts. Cause

Resolution

Alert ID XMS_SSD_FRU_STATE_DISCONNECTED
Alert Text Drive in bus %(bus_num) enclosure %(encl_num) slot %(enclosure_slot) has been removed.
Error Code 0x00307104
Resolution Cause
A previously inserted drive is no longer seen by the system.

Solution
1. Perform a visual inspection that the drive is correctly inserted.
2. If the issue persists, may need to replace the drive. See the Installation and Service Guide for more information.     
3. Contact technical support for further assistance.
 
 
Alert ID DATA_PATH_DRIVE_SOAK_FINISHED
Alert Text Drive in bus %(bus_num) enclosure %(encl_num) slot %(enclosure_slot) serial number %(s_n) has initialized: (ssd_device_failed)
Error Code 0x00201702
Resolution Cause
An inserted drive has failed.
Solution
1. Replace the drive. PowerStore Manager UI can be used to "Mark" the drive to help identify it. See the Installation and Service Guide for more information. 
2. Contact technical support for further assistance.

Alert Text Drive in bus %(bus_num) enclosure %(encl_num) slot %(enclosure_slot) has failed for this reason: %(ssd_failure_reason)
Error Code 0x00307103
Resolution Cause
An inserted drive has faulted.
