Issue:
Switch reboots with the following messages:
[KSWD-1002], 101, FFDC | CHASSIS, WARNING, MXG610s, Detected termination of process fredd:2332 [PLAT-2000], 159, CHASSIS, INFO, MXG610s, Hardware reset cause: first 0x2 - CPU Reset [PLAT-2001], 160, CHASSIS, INFO, MXG610s, Hardware reset cause: latest: 0x2 - CPU Reset [HAM-1004], 161, CHASSIS, INFO, MXG610s, Processor rebooted - Software Fault: Watchdog Timeout. [HAM-1014], 6186, CHASSIS, CRITICAL, MXG610s, Non restartable component (fred (pid=2456)) died.
Cause
The reboot is due to a memory leak.
DEFECT FOS-812165 opened for this issue.
Resolution
Resolution:
Upgrade to Fabric OS v8.1.0_lnx3 or later.
Follow standard procedures for Fabric OS upgrades.
