Symptoms
It won’t happen often, but there may be a time when something goes wrong, and your device will display a black or blank screen. Some of the common scenarios that can cause a black or blank screen to occur are:
- Connection problems with your display
- Issues with Display adapter driver updates
- Issues with recent updates or installations
Video Driver Restart Combo Key
To restart the video drive use the following combo key combination:
Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B
Important: This feature is available in all versions of Windows from Windows 7 and onwards. In previous versions, the system would beep after pressing the key combo. On computers with Windows 10 May 2019 Update the system will not beep when pressing the combo key
