This issue only occurs on Nexus 7700 N77-SUP2E and MDS 9710 DS-X97-SF1-K9 type supervisors in chassis with dual supervisors.

A system switchover does not resolve the issue.

Cause

Nexus 7700 and MDS 9700 supervisor logflash devices are not mounted.
See CSCuv67115This hyperlink is taking you to a website outside of Dell Technologies.

Resolution

Workaround:
Power cycle the affected supervisor.

In dual supervisor systems, this can be done by powering off the supervisor with the out-of-service module command and powering it back up with the no poweroff module command.
Ensure that the supervisor is in standby mode first so that the recovery does not affect system stability.

It is insufficient to reboot the module with the reload or system switchover commands.

This issue now has a fix in the NX-OS code 7.3.0.d1.1.
