Symptoms
PPDM vProxy fails to deploy. The following error is seen in the vmdm.log:
If vCenter was added to PPDM, communication is working, and a dedicated PPDM vCenter user has the correct permissions, then it is likely that PPDM could push a vProxy VM to vCenter using the vCenter REST API port of 443.
Open vCenter web client and verify if the vProxy is available. If the vProxy exists, run the following command from PPDM:
If there is no response, verify with the networking team that port 9090 is open from PPDM to vProxy.
Failed to deploy vProxy - no route to host.
Open vCenter web client and verify if the vProxy is available. If the vProxy exists, run the following command from PPDM:
curl -kv http: IP_ADDRESS_OF_ VPROXY:9090
If there is no response, verify with the networking team that port 9090 is open from PPDM to vProxy.
Cause
For vProxies to be fully deployed, PPDM must be able to communicate to the vProxy over port 9090.
Resolution
Once the networking team opens port 9090, vProxies should fully deploy.
