Symptoms

De gebruiker voert IBM FlashCopy uit om verschillende apparaten te kopiëren met behulp van de functie FlashCopy ACTION (FREEZE). De bronapparaten zijn RDF R2-apparaten. Wanneer de opdracht FREEZE wordt uitgevoerd, worden de apparaten in een langdurige lange bezetstatus gezet om I/O naar de apparaten te voorkomen en ervoor te zorgen dat de kopie consistent is. Zodra het kopiëren is voltooid, wordt de opdracht FlashCopy ACTION (THAW) uitgevoerd om de langdurige long busy op de apparaten vrij te geven en de I/O te hervatten. De opdracht THAW mislukt met de volgende fout:

Het probleem doet zich ook voor als het bronapparaat een secundair PPRC-apparaat is, maar de fout die wordt geretourneerd iets anders is;

De PowerMax microcode is 5978.669.669.
 

Cause

Dit is een microcodeprobleem. Momenteel staat de microcode geen FlashCopy Thaw-opdracht toe op een PPRC Secondary/R2-apparaat.

Resolution

Engineering heeft 108159 ontwikkeld om dit probleem op te lossen. Neem contact op met het Dell EMC Support Center of uw lokale Dell EMC servicevertegenwoordiger om te bepalen of een upgrade van HYPERMAX OS of PowerMaxOS geschikt is voor uw omgeving. Vermeld dit artikelnummer.
