Symptoms

Durante el proceso SMS SPACE CONSTRAINT RELIEF, es posible que se observen los siguientes problemas.

Si el error ocurre durante un trabajo de SNAP, se ven los dos mensajes siguientes. Si durante otro procesamiento, por ejemplo, una definición de eliminación de IBM IDCAMS, solo se ve el IGC306I mensaje:
 

ESNP230E ERROR RETURNED FROM EXTENTS PROGRAM - RC: 0008 RS: 000

IGD306I UNEXPECTED ERROR DURING IEFAB4C1 PROCESSING RETURN CODE 8 REASON CODE 12


UCB deja de estar disponible. El dispositivo queda offline y no se puede modificar en línea.

Cause

Este problema se debe a un problema en el código del sistema operativo IBM. Consulte IBM APAR OA62325

Resolution

Solución alternativa:

  • Se requiere una IPL para permitir que z/OS reconstruya el UCB.
  • Se puede utilizar un comando SLIP para modificar UCB en almacenamiento a fin de evitar la necesidad de una IPL, pero esto requiere la entrada de IBM.

Corrección permanente:

  • IBM resuelve este problema en APAR OA62325
