Symptoms

Dell Repository Manager (DRM) 3.3.2 may show the following job status message after exporting to the Server Update Utility (SUU) format whether .ISO image or choosing Directory structure:

Partial Success
Falling back to default inventory collector carried

Cause

If the exported repository contains five or more Dell Update Packages (DUPs), then DRM may experience a race condition that cannot copy over a newer Inventory Collector (IC) module than the default older version contained within the SUU plugin. The inventory Collector is an internal module that detects the various hardware and storage devices within the system.

Resolution

SUU should function usually. DRM 3.3.2 contains a new feature to copy over the latest IC module downloaded from Dell which may contain minor fixes and some refined support for new system components.

Make sure to update to the latest DRM that is available on the Dell support page
