The DLm VTE logs show no indication or error or warning.
Cause
The S522 abend is not a typical job time exceeded error, it's a job wait time exceeded. That is to say, the time allocated to wait in an SVC wait state was exceeded.
Resolution
A DLm Guaranteed Replication (GR) timeout exceeded condition will result in a Unit Check being returned to the mainframe job. The S522 abend is a different scenario.
Look for data set in use, hardware level enqueue or contention while the job is executing, possibly coming from system backups, migration or recall activity which could be occurring during job execution. Optionally add TIME= to the JCL EXEC statement. If unable to find a cause, open a service request with the mainframe support vendor.
The job wait time parameter is controlled via the SMFPRMxx parmlib member, parameter JWT.
