Administrative Installation Using Active Directory

Microsoft Windows supports administrative installation of programs using Active Directory. Administrative installs may require the use of a .msi file. Unless you are performing an administrative install through Active Directory, you should use the .exe versions of the installers accessible on the download page.

From initializing new arrays to creating application-consistent snapshots, to scripting management operations, the Host Integration Tools expose a wide variety of capabilities to server administrators.

Dell EqualLogic Host Integration Tools for Microsoft (HIT Microsoft) integrates with Microsoft ISCSI initiator and provides seamless dynamically managed OEM multipath (MPIO).

Dell EqualLogic Host Integration Tools for Microsoft (HIT Microsoft) simplify the configuration and administration of Dell EqualLogic PS Series storage arrays on Microsoft Windows computers. 

Through the ASM ME, HIT ME 5.5 supports backup and restore operations for the following applications:

  • SQL Server 2016 and SQL Server 2017
  • System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) 2016 and SCVMM 2019
  • Hyper-V
  • Exchange Server 2016 and Exchange Server 2019
  • SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint 2019

Capability to import EqualLogic storage to PowerStore for PS Series firmware 10.0.3 is supported with Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016, and Windows Server 2019.
