Symptoms
Latitude 7220 Rugged Extreme Tablet owners may experience a failure to respond to any touch input using the touch panel. This happens following a laptop reboot or resuming from suspend.
If you run the eGalaxTuner tool, it reveals:
Error code 0x00000010,
with a Hardware status information stating 0x00000200
which indicates a communication error.Cause
There are communication issues between the Microcontroller (MCU) and the touch controller Integrated Circuit (IC). This is happening on firmware versions of the touch panel that are older than version A4N.
Resolution
Note: You must have administrator rights on your laptop to make any operating system changes or update software.
Update the application firmware driver to Dell Touch Firmware Update Tool, version A4N, A00 or later. To download and install the Dell Touch Firmware Update Tool-A4_N_ZPE.exe see:
