Symptoms
During the Avamar ndmp accelerator configuration, an error occurs when entering the Avamar server hostname or IP address.
We see
Server Validation Error
The value you just entered is invalid
it's not an avamar server
We see

it's not an avamar server
Cause
The selected Avamar IP address was the backup interface of the Avamar server and not the management IP address.
Resolution
Install the Avamar accelerator software using the Command Line Installation (CLI).
