Symptoms

Kan ikke tage virtuelle maskiners produktionskontrolpunkter. Fejlen er:

"Production checkpoints cannot be created for...".

Sikkerhedskopieringer mislykkes. Fejlen er:

 "Production checkpoints cannot be created for..."


Logfiler rapporterer, at VSS-tjenesten ikke kører:

VMWare Servers can show "Get-VMIntegrationService -VMName "XXXX" shows lost comm for VSS".

Cause

Periodiske Windows Server-opdateringer og filkorruption, der involverer operativsystemfiler, bidrager oftest til Volume Shadow Copy Service-fejl.   

Resolution

instruktioner:
Nedenfor er et script designet til at foretage en filnulstilling til VSS-tjenesten (Volume Shadow Copy).
1. Kopier alt fra under øverste kant til over nederste linje til en notesblokfil.
2. Gem filen med navnet "RESET_VSS_SCRIPT.BAT" og køre i et administrativt kommandovindue.
 

rem Rename FILENAME to RESET_VSS_SCRIPT.BAT
rem Run script in Administrator command window
