Symptoms

Pressing the power button on the Dell Pro Plus Wireless ANC Headset WL5024 or Dell Pro Wireless Headset WL3024 does not turn it on.

Cause

The headset arrives in shipping mode to protect the battery from accidentally being turned on during transportation.

Resolution

  1. Ensure that the computer is turned on.
  2. Use the charging cable to connect the headset to the computer (Figure 1).

  3. Charge the headset by connecting the charging cable to a USB port on the computer.

This ends the shipping mode, and the headset can now turn on.
