  • 「エンジンID」はSNMPv3に固有の機能であり、強化されたセキュリティ モデルの一部として導入されました。  
  • エンジンIDは、各SNMPv3エンティティー(SNMPエージェントまたはSNMPマネージャー)を一意に識別します。 
  • ID の一意性は、セキュリティ上の目的で非常に重要です。SNMPv3 では、その前身と比較してセキュリティ機能が追加されていることに留意してください。 
  • エンジンIDは、セキュリティ パラメーターの生成に使用され、通信が実際に正しいデバイスと行われていることを確認するのに役立ちます。 
  • 一意のエンジンIDがないと、セキュリティ侵害やミスコミュニケーションが発生する可能性があります。


デフォルトでは、エンジンIDはデバイスのMACアドレスに基づいており、SNMP v3通信の一部です
ただし、SNMPチャネル作成の実行時にカスタムの「エンジンID」を定義し、通信がより安全かどうかを確認します
SnmpEngineID テキスト表記法 [RFC3411] は、snmpEngineID 値は 5 〜 32 オクテットの長さでなければならないと定義しており(MUST)、任意のオクテットの値は 2 桁の 16 進数で指定される。

「エンジンID」でSNMPチャネルを作成するコマンド:

isi event channels create snmpchannel snmp --host=<snmp-receiver.example.com> --
snmp-auth-password=<string> --snmp-security-name=<string> --snmp-priv-password=<string>
--snmp-engine-id=<string>


SNMP構成の詳細をエンジンIDとともに表示するには、次の手順を実行します。
