Symptoms
When a remote-system-modify operation to set latency to Low, and a remote-system-Verify-and-Update operation are performed concurrently, the remote system state to get stuck as Update_Needed.
Cause
When a remote-system-modify operation to set latency to Low, and a remote-system-Verify-and-Update operation are performed concurrently, then two metro cluster entries may be created in the PowerStore configuration database.
In this scenario, the remote system state changed to Update_Needed
Resolution
The issue is resolved in PowerStoreOS version 4.0.0.0 (or later).
Workaround
To recover from this scenario with versions earlier than 4.0.0.0, contact technical support for assistance. Reference KB # 000285911 for expedited handling.
