Latitude 3140 Does Not Detect Kingston Universal Flash Storage

Cause
The storage system becomes overwhelmed and could not perform its usual cleanup process because of a continuous stream of delete requests from the host. This caused the computer to enter a recovery mode, and it was unable to restart normally.
Resolution
If the computer is working:
- Update to the latest version of the Kingston CY14 Universal Flash Storage Firmware version PA5C (A03 or later) to resolve this issue, from the Latitude 3140 Drivers & Downloads page.
- If the issues persist, Contact Technical Support.
After updating the firmware (FW), you can check the FW version from Device Manager:
- Right-click the Start button
- Left click Device Manager
- Expand Disk Drives
- Right-click Kingston UFS and click Properties
- Click the Details tab
To recover a failed computer, Contact Technical Support.
