Instructions

NOTE: This article provides a general overview of a command-line FLR of a NetWorker Client. For additional information, see the NetWorker Command Reference Guide, Support for NetWorker | Manuals & Documents
  1. Open an elevated command prompt or shell on the NetWorker server.
  2. Identify the Save Set ID (SSID) of a backup you would like to recover: mminfo -avot -q client=NETWORKER_CLIENT_NAME
NOTE: The save set must be marked as browsable (cb). NetWorker: How to make an expired save set browsable
  1. To list the contents of the backup, get the nsavetime of the SSID wanted for restore: mminfo -q ssid=SSID -r nsavetime, client
  2. List the contents of the save set (optionally redirect to a file): nsrinfo -t nsavetime CLIENT_NAME

Example:

E:\>nsrinfo -t 1562250655 client_name
scanning client `client_name' for savetime 1562250655(MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS) from the backup namespace
E:\backup1\
E:\daemon.raw
E:\file1.txt
E:\gstd.raw
E:\gstdlog.txt
E:\renderedNsrck.txt
E:\

  1. Run the recover command on NetWorker Server command line to do file level recovery: recover -c source_client_name -R destination_client_name -iR
    Example:
B:\>recover -c source_client_name -R destination_client_name -iR
No index was found for B:\. The current working directory is /.
    recover> cd E:\
    recover> ls
