Momenteel wordt eSIM niet ondersteund onder Ubuntu Linux of een Linux-kernel op Dell laptops die worden geleverd met mobiele breedbandmodules of worden ondersteund door APOS-kaarten (After Point of Sale) Dit is niet beperkt tot Dell laptops, de ondersteuning voor eSIM is een branchebreed gebrek aan ondersteuning onder Linux-kernel.
