The PowerEdge Rack and Tower server portfolio is built with a secure infrastructure that supports a full range of workloads and objectives. Some of the key capabilities are:

Dell PowerEdge servers are designed to support Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads by providing a range of features and technologies that enable high-performance computing, scalability, and reliability.
Telemetry enables you to collect and stream real-time device metrics, events, and data logs from a PowerEdge server to a subscribed external client or server application. For more information, select the server model and refer to the iDRAC User's Guide, on the product documentation page.

For PowerEdge server, it is mandatory to recover from corrupted or damaged BIOS image which can result from malicious data modifications, power surges, or other unforeseeable events. To return the PowerEdge server from an unbootable State to a functional state, you must have a reserve source for the BIOS image This alternative/recovery BIOS is stored in a 2nd serial peripheral interface (SPI). 14th generation and later PowerEdge servers (both Intel or AMD-based) now use an immutable, silicon-based Root-of Trust to cryptographically attest to the integrity of BIOS and iDRAC firmware. This Root-of-trust is based on one-time programmable, read-only public keys that provide protection against malware tampering. Proactive resilience enables security functions like end-to-end boot verification including UEFI Secure Boot Customization, trusted BIOS, firmware chain of trust, and verified OS bootloader. Firmware is protected using NIST guidelines including signed firmware updates and certificate management is simplified through automatic renewal.

PowerEdge Rack and Tower servers also provide data-at-rest protection using Secure Enterprise Key Manager (SEKM) and data-in-use protection with Confidential Compute CPU technologies.
