Oplossing

  • Dell Encryption External Media (formerly Dell Data Protection | External Media Edition) does not encrypt remote drives, file shares, or files in the cloud.
  • The local Windows Shield encrypts any local file per policy, this includes the local copy of files that are also saved up to the cloud.
  • The copy of the file in the cloud should not be encrypted and can be accessed from machines not running the Dell Security software.
  • There are no known issues with the CredDB.cef file being uploaded. If the files are pulled down to another computer running Dell Encryption, they should be encrypted locally. CredDB.cef file fails to be copied because Dell Encryption blocks it, and it may exist.
