Adding or removing a RecoverPoint Appliance (RPA) will not affect production or replication.

Command to check the RPA IP address:
The following cli command will return the RPAs per cluster with their IP addresses and RPA version listed.
VPlexcli:/> ll /recoverpoint/rpa-clusters/ /recoverpoint/rpa-clusters: RPA Host VPLEX Cluster RPA Site RPA ID RPA Version ------------- ------------- -------- ------ ----------------- 10.241.xxx.xxx cluster-1 RP_VPLEX RPA 1 5.0.SP1.P3(e.285) \__ IP Address \_ RPA version running
Removing the RPA
Note: xx.xx.xx.xx is the IP Address of the RPA you wish to remove from VPLEX.
VPlexcli:/> rp rpa-cluster remove --rpa-cluster xx.xx.xx.xx
Check to ensure that the RPA you intended to remove has been fully removed:
VPlexcli:/> ls recoverpoint/rpa-clusters/xx.xx.xx.xx ls: No context found for 'recoverpoint/rpa-clusters/xx.xx.xx.xx'
Adding an RPA
To add an RPA to VPLEX use the following command string,
VPlexcli:/> rp rpa-cluster add -o xx.xx.xx.xx -u admin -c cluster-1 Enter rpa-cluster administrative password: <Admin-password> Enter rpa-cluster administrative password again for verification: <Admin-password>
To validate the RPA was successfully added run the following command.
