PowerFlex: How To Validate OpenStack and RedHat OpenStack RHOSP Compatibility

PowerFlex started to support OpenStack from the release of Juno.
Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP) - PowerFlex started to support RHOSP from the release of version 6.

Less common OpenStack Vendor Distributions:
- Mirantis OpenStack (MOS) - PowerFlex started to support MOS from the release of version 6.1.
- Canonical Ubuntu OpenStack - PowerFlex started to support Ubuntu OpenStack from the release of Liberty.

• Validate PowerFlex compatibility

The Elab support matrix docs only contain RHOSP support, even though the topic states OpenStack, see the screenshot below.

For example:
PowerFlex 3.6.2 is supported with operating system RHEL 9.2, and RHOSP 17.1 (using Cinder 3.5.7)
 
 
It is suggested first to check the PowerFlex release notes, as OpenStack support can be found there.

For example:
PowerFlex 3.5 was released with support for OpenStack Ussuri.
 

• Validate OpenStack compatibility

Once we have the PowerFlex side covered, we must go to OpenStack's official documentation for any other information pieces or to broaden existing information.

• Validate RHOSP compatibility
