XPS 12-9250, 12-7275, Latitude 3490, 3590, 7280, 7480, 5280, 5480, 5580, Precision 3520, OptiPlex 7760, 7460, 7060, 5260, 5060, 3060, 5060 AIO (and later systems) report "No boot device found" when you change the Boot Sequence to Legacy mode in BIOS setup menu.

SLN301692_en_US__1No-boot-device-found

These specific systems are based on the 7th generation Kaby lake processor (and above) and are designed to boot exclusively in the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) boot environment. As a result, if legacy boot mode is selected, the system will not boot.

Causa

Note: This situation applies to any system from the Kaby lake 7th generation processor forward and is not limited to the systems that this article was originally based on.
Note: Later systems may not include an option for Legacy Mode. Continue to troubleshoot the No Boot Device as this article only applies to systems that provide the Legacy Mode option.

Resolução
