Boot up and log in

  • NOTE: The Ubuntu Core operating system has no graphical user interface
Power on the Edge Gateway. When prompted to log in to the OS, enter the default credentials.
  • NOTE: The default username and password for:
    • Ubuntu Core 15.04 is ubuntu
    • Ubuntu Core 16 is admin
For example (Ubuntu 15.04): 
Ubuntu 15.04 localhost.localdomain tty1

Press Enter, the following text is displayed:
