Removing the battery

Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
Remove:
1. MicroSD card
2. SIM card
  - NOTE: To remove both cards if equipped and no need to remove the blank filler.
3. Base cover
To remove the battery:
1. Lift the ribbon, disconnect and remove the battery cable from the connector on the system board [1].
  - CAUTION: Ensure that the battery cable lifts up over the battery and not into the LED cable.
2. Remove the M2.0 x 4 L screws that secure the battery to the computer [2].
3. Lift the battery from the computer [3].
