Removing the NVMe SSD card

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove:
    1. MicroSD card

    2. SIM card

      • NOTE: To remove both cards if equipped and no need to remove the blank filler.
    3. base cover

    4. battery

      • NOTE: Disconnect the battery cable from the system board and remove the battery.
  3. To remove the NVMe SSD card:
    1. Loosen the M2.0 x 3.0 screws that secure SSD thermal bracket [1].
    2. Lift the thermal bracket from the SSD card [2,3].
    3. Slide and remove the SSD card from the slot [4].
