Removing the ExpressCard Cage

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. SD card
    2. ExpressCard
    3. battery
    4. hard drive
    5. optical drive
    6. base cover
    7. keyboard trim
    8. keyboard
    9. bluetooth module
    10. palmrest
  3. Disconnect the ExpressCard cable from the system board.

  4. Remove the screws that secure the ExpressCard cage to the computer.
