Removing the LVDS and Camera Cable

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. SD card
    2. ExpressCard
    3. battery
    4. hard drive
    5. optical drive
    6. base cover
    7. keyboard trim
    8. keyboard
    9. bluetooth module
    10. palmrest
    11. media board
    12. display hinge covers
    13. display assembly
    14. display bezel
    15. display panel
    16. power LED board
    17. display hinge walls
  3. Remove the adhesive tape that secures LVDS and camera cable to the display assembly.

  4. Disconnect the camera cable from camera and microphone module.

  5. Pry up the LVDS and camera cable from the display assembly.

  6. Remove the LVDS and camera cable from the display assembly cover.
