Installing the left fan
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the left fan and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Connect the fan cable to the system board.
- Slide the fan below the heat sink and align the screw holes on the fan with the screw holes on the system board and palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Replace the two screws (M2x4) that secure the fan to the system board and palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
