Removing the left fan
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the left fan and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
- Remove the two screws (M2x4) that secure the fan to the system board and palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Slide the fan out of the heat sink and then lift it from the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
