Table 1. Back view of the system with full height riserItem 1 is the PCIe expansion card slot(s), enables you to connect to PCI Express expansion cards. Item 2 is the hard drive, enables you to install drives that are supported in your system. Item 3 is the power supply unit, supplies power to the components of the system. Item 4 is the NIC port, integrated on the network daughter card (NDC) provides network connectivity. Item 5 is the USB 3.0 port, enables you to connect USB devices to the system. Item 6 is the video port, enables you to connect a display device to the system. Item 7 is the serial port, enables you to connect serial device to the system. Item 8 is the iDRAC 9 Enterprise port, enables you to remotely access iDRAC. Item 9 is the System status indicator cable port, enables you to connect to cable management arm LED. Item 10 is the System identification button, helps in identifying the system in a rack.

11 System identification button System identification icon Press the system ID button:
  • To locate a particular system within a rack.
  • To turn the system ID on or off.
To reset iDRAC, press and hold the button for more than 15 seconds.
NOTE
  • To reset iDRAC using system ID, ensure that the system ID button is enabled in the iDRAC setup.
  • If the system stops responding during POST, press and hold the system ID button (for more than five seconds) to enter the BIOS progress mode.
