Map volumes to a host or host group
You can map and unmap volumes to a single host or multiple hosts.
About this task
The following restrictions apply:
- After a volume is mapped to a host, it shares the same storage protocol (SCSI or NVMe) as the host to which it is mapped.
- Mixed protocols are not supported.
Steps
- From , check the box next to the volume or volumes that you want to map to a host.
- Select to open the Map Hosts slide-out panel.
- Select either SCSI (Supports iSCSI or FC transport layer) or NVMe (Supports NVMe FC transport layer) as the protocol that you want to use to map the volume or volumes.
- Select any hosts or host groups that you want the volume to be mapped to.
- Click Apply.
