Installing the assembly inner frame

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

The following image indicates the location of the assembly inner frame and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.

Assembly inner frame

Align the screw holes on the assembly inner frame with the screw holes on the system board and the palm-rest assembly.
NOTE:Ensure that the tab on the top-left corner of the assembly inner frame is installed underneath the tab on the palm-rest assembly.
Replace the seven screws (M2x3) that secure the assembly inner frame to the system board and the palm-rest assembly.
Replace the three screws (M2x5) that secure the assembly inner frame to the system board and the palm-rest assembly.
Connect the LED-board cable to the connector on the system board.
Route the speaker cable firmly through the routing guide on the assembly inner frame and connect the speaker cable to the connector on the system board.
Route the antennas cable through the routing guides on the assembly inner frame.
