Installing the display assembly

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

Steps

  1. Place the palm-rest assembly on the display. Close the display hinges and align the screw holes on the display hinges with screw holes on the palm-rest assembly.
  2. Replace the four screws (M2.5x3) that secure the display hinges to the palm-rest assembly.
  3. Route the display cable, sensor board cable and IR camera cable through the routing guide on the system board.
  4. Connect the IR camera cable to the connector on the system board.
  5. Connect the sensor board cable to the connector on the system board.
  6. Connect the display cable to the connector on the system board.
  7. Place the display cable bracket on the system board and align the screw holes on the display cable bracket with the screw holes on the system board.
  8. Replace the two screws (M2x3) that secure the display cable bracket to the system board.
