Removing the Display Assembly

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. battery
    2. keyboard trim
    3. keyboard
    4. hard drive
    5. optical drive
    6. display-hinge cover
    7. base cover
    8. base corner caps
    9. power connector
    10. palmrest assembly
  3. Remove the antenna cables connected to wireless solutions from the routing channels. Figure displaying how to remove the WLAN antenna and camera cable from the system board.
  4. Remove the screws that secure the display assembly to the computer. Disconnect the LVDS cable and release the LVDS cable and camera cable from the routing channel. Figure displaying how to remove the screws and to disconnect the LVDS cable and camera cable from the computer.
