Removing the display assembly
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the battery.
- Remove the WLAN card.
- Remove the WWAN card.

Steps
- Locate the display cable, touchscreen cable and display hinges on your computer.
- Peel back the tape and disconnect the touchscreen cable.
- Remove the two (M2x3) screws that secure the EDP metal bracket to the computer.
- Peel the tape that secures the display cable to the system board.
- Open the latch and disconnect the display cable from the system board.
- Unroute the WLAN and WWAN cables from the retention clips.
- Remove the six (M2.5x4) screws that secure the display hinges to the chassis of your computer.
- Open the display hinges at an angle of 90 degrees and slightly open the display.
- Remove the palm-rest and keyboard assembly off the display assembly.
