Removing the inner frame

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the base cover.
  3. Remove the battery.
  4. Remove the solid state drive.
  5. Remove the HDD.
  6. Remove the WLAN card.
  7. Remove the WWAN card.

Steps

  1. Locate the system board on your computer.
  2. Unroute the WWAN and WLAN card cables from the routing clips.
  3. Disconnect and unroute the speaker cable.
  4. Remove the five (M2x5) and six (M2x3) screws that secure the inner frame to the computer.
  5. Lift the inner frame out of the computer.
