SC400 Series Expansion Enclosure Drives

Dell Enterprise Plus hard disk drives (HDDs) and Dell Enterprise Plus solid-state drives (SSDs) are the only drives that can be installed in SC400 series expansion enclosures . If a non- Dell Enterprise Plus drive is installed, the Storage Center prevents the drive from being managed.

The drives in an SC400 expansion enclosure are installed horizontally. The drives in an SC420 and SC420Fexpansion enclosure are installed vertically. The indicators on the drives provide status and activity information.

  • Off: No power to the drive
