Installing the LOM riser card

Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
Remove the air shroud. For more information, see Removing the air shroud.
If installed, remove the risers. For more information see, Removing the expansion card risers.

Remove the LAN on Motherboard (LOM) filler bracket.
1. Using the Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the screw that secures the bracket to the chassis.
2. Slide the bracket out of the slot on the chassis.

Install the LOM bracket.
1. Insert and slide the LOM bracket into the slot on the chassis.
2. Using the Phillips #2 screwdriver, secure the bracket to the chassis with a screw

Orient the LOM riser card to fit the Ethernet connectors or the SFP+ through the slot of the bracket.
Press the LOM riser card until the card is firmly seated on the system board connector and the two blue plastic clips, secure the LOM riser card in place.
Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, secure the LOM riser card to the system board with screws.

Install the air shroud. For more information, see Installing the air shroud.
