How to replace the Wireless module (WLAN) on a Dell Tower Plus EBT2250

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Wireless module (WLAN) and a Dell Tower Plus EBT2250. The procedure will also include removing the Left side cover and reinstalling them.

Removal

Left side cover

Identify the left side cover highlighted in blue.

Loosen the captive screw that secures the left side cover latch to the chassis.

Pull on the left side cover latch to release the left side cover from the chassis.

Remove and lift the left side cover from the chassis.

Wireless module (WLAN)

Identify the wireless module (WLAN) highlighted in blue.

Remove the screw that secures the wireless card bracket to the wireless card.

Remove the wireless card bracket off the wireless card.

Disconnect the antenna cables from the wireless card.

Slide and remove the wireless card from the wireless card slot.

Install

Wireless module (WLAN)

Identify the wireless module (WLAN) location highlighted in blue.

Slide the wireless card at an angle into the wireless card slot.

Connect the black cable to the auxiliary (black triangle).

Connect the white cable to the main (white triangle).

Place the wireless card bracket on the wireless card.

Install the screw that secures the wireless card bracket to the wireless card.

Left side cover

Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.

Slide the bottom edge of the left side cover into the chassis.

Push the left side cover into place.

Tighten the captive screw that secures the left side cover latch to the chassis.
