Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the base cover.
Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover from the recesses located near the hinges.
Remove the base cover by loosening the sides and front.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable highlighted in blue.
Using the pull tab, lift up to disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to ground the system and remove residual static electricity.
Battery
Memory Modules
Identify the memory module highlighted in blue.
Using your fingertips, carefully spread apart the securing clips on each end until the memory module pops up.
Hold the edges and carefully lift the memory module up from connector on the system board.

System Fan
Identify the system fan highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the system fan cable from the system board.
Remove the screws that secure the system fan.
Slide and remove the fan. Be cautious of the heat sink and sponge.
Chassis Frame
Identify the chassis frame highlighted in blue.
Remove the screw that secures the frame and optional fingerprint bracket.
Disconnect the speaker cable and unroute it from the routing guides. Note the cable routing.
Remove the screws that secure the frame to the system board and the palm rest.
Lift the frame off the system board and the palm rest assembly.
Heatsink
System Board
Identify the system board highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the USB Type-C bracket to the system board.
Remove the USB Type-C bracket from the system board.
Remove the screws that secure the eDP bracket to the system board.
Lift the display/eDP bracket away from the system.
Peel the tape that secures the display cable to the system.
Lift the latch and disconnect the display cable. Be careful not to damage the latch or connector.
Using the pull tab, disconnect the display cable and unroute it from the routing guide.
Open the latch and disconnect the LED board cable from the system board.
Open the latch and disconnect the touchpad cable from the system board.
Pry the coin cell battery from the palm rest and remove it from the routing guides.
Remove the screws that secure the system board to the palm rest.
Slide the system board to the left and remove it from the system with the coin cell.
Install
System Board
Identify the system board location highlighted in blue.
Slide the system board into the slot, ensuring to clear the USB-C ports.
Install the screws to secure the system board to the palm rest.
Adhere the coin cell to the slot on the palm rest and route the cable along the guides.
Install the metal bracket that secures the USB Type-C port.
Install the screws that secure the USB Type-C port bracket.
Push down to connect the eDP cable to the system board. Route the cable through the routing guide.
Connect the display cable and close the latch to secure.
Adhere the tape that secures the display cable to the system.
Install the eDP cable support bracket to the system.
Install the screws to secure the eDP bracket to the system board.
Connect the LED board cable to the system board and close the latch to secure.
Connect the touchpad cable to the system board and close the latch to secure.
Heatsink
Chassis Frame
Identify the chassis frame highlighted in blue.
Install the frame and align the screw holes.
Install the screws to secure the chassis frame to the system.
Install the screw that secures the assembly inner frame and optional fingerprint bracket.
Route the speaker cable through the routing guides and connect it to the system board.
System Fan
Identify the system fan location highlighted in blue.
Slide the fan to install and align the screw holes.
Install the screws to secure the system fan.
Connect the system fan cable to the system board.

Memory Modules
Identify the memory module location highlighted in blue.
Align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the slot and slide the memory into the slot at an angle.
Press the memory module down until it clicks into place.
Battery
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable location highlighted in blue.
Push down to connect the battery cable to the connector on the system board.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the base cover tabs to the slots, press the cover until it clicks into place.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the base cover to the system.
