Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the base cover to the system base.
Remove the screws that secure the base cover to the system.
Using a plastic scribe or a flat head screwdriver, pry the base cover from the edges.
Lift the base cover off the system base.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the battery cable from the system board. Peel back the tape if needed.
Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to ground the system and remove residual static electricity.
SSD
Memory modules
Identify the memory module highlighted in blue.
Using your fingertips, carefully spread apart the securing clips on each end until the memory module pops up.
Hold the edges and carefully lift the memory module up from connector on the system board.
Battery
Identify the battery highlighted in blue
Remove the screws that secure the battery to the system.
Lift the battery out of the system.
System Fan
Identify the fan highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the fan to the system.
Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
Slide and remove the fan from the system.
Heatsink
WLAN (Wireless Module)
Identify the wireless module (WLAN) highlighted in blue.
Remove the screw that secures the bracket to the wireless module.
Slide the plastic bracket off the wireless module.
Disconnect the antenna cables (black and white cables) from the wireless module.
Slide and remove the wireless module out of the slot.
Display Assembly
Identify the display assembly highlighted in blue.
Lift the latch and disconnect the display cable from the system board.
Unroute the display cable and WLAN cables from the routing guide.
Open the display to 90 degrees and place it on the edge of the table.
Remove the screws that secure the left and the right hinges to the system.
Lift the display assembly off the system.
System board
Position the assembly as shown to enable the AR lock.
Identify the system board highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the power adapter port cable from the system board.
Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
Lift the latch and disconnect the I/O board, touchpad and hard drive cables.
Remove the 1-2 screws that secure the system board.
Lift the system board away from the system.
Install
System board
Identify the system board location highlighted in blue.
Install the system board in the system, using the alignment posts as a guide.
Install the 1-2 screws that secures the system board to the system.
Connect the I/O board, touchpad and hard drive cable. Close the latch to secure.
Connect the speaker cable to the system board.
Connect the power adapter port cable to the system board.
Display Assembly
Identify the display assembly location highlighted in blue.
With the system at the edge of the table, align the screw holes of the display hinges.
Install the screws that secure the left and the right hinges to the system.
Close the display and place the computer on a clean and flat surface.
Route the display cable and wireless module cables through the routing guides on the system.
Connect the display cable to the system board. Close the latch to secure.
WLAN (Wireless Module)
Identify the wireless module (WLAN) location highlighted in blue.
Insert the WLAN into the connector on the system board.
Connect the black cable to the auxiliary (black triangle).
Connect the white cable to the main (white triangle).
Align the screw hole on the bracket with the screw hole on the WLAN card.
Install the screw that secures the WLAN and bracket to the system.
Heatsink
System Fan
Identify the fan location highlighted in blue.
Slide the fan into the system and align the screw holes.
Connect the fan cable to the system board.
Install the screws that secure the fan to the system.
Battery
Identify the battery location highlighted in blue.
Install the battery, ensuring the tab on the bottom left is seated in the slot.
Install the screws that secure the battery to the system.
Memory modules
Identify the memory module location highlighted in blue.
Align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the slot and slide the memory into the slot at an angle.
Press the memory module down until it clicks into place.
SSD
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable location highlighted in blue.
Connect the battery cable to the connector on the system board. Adhere the tape.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the base cover tabs to the slots on the edges, press the edges of the cover until it clicks into place.
Tighten the captive screws that secures the base cover to the system base.
Install the screws that secure the base cover to the system.
