How to replace the Wireless Module (WLAN) on a Latitude3340

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Wireless Module (WLAN) and a Latitude3340. The procedure will also include removing the Base Cover and reinstalling them.

Removal

Base Cover

Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.

Loosen the captive screws that secure the base cover to the chasis.

Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover starting from the recesses, located in the U-shaped indents near the hinges.

Pry open the top side and continue working on the left, right and, bottom sides to open the base cover.

Lift the base cover away from the system.

Install

Base Cover

Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.

Install the base cover and press the edges and sides until it snaps into place.

Tighten the captive screws that secure the base cover.
