Table 1. Back panel features and indicators—PowerEdge FX2 and PowerEdge FX2s enclosuresItem 1 is a DB-9 serial connector that allows you to configure CMC. Item 2 is the Ethernet connector Gb1 that allows you to connect the network cable from the management system to the CMC. Item 3 is the Ethernet connector used for daisy-chaining CMCs in separate enclosures. Item 4 are the system identification buttons on the front and back panels that can be used to locate a particular system within a rack. When one of these buttons is pressed, the LCD panel on the front and the system status indicator on the back flash until one of the buttons is pressed again. Press to toggle the system ID on and off. If the system stops responding during POST, press and hold the system ID button for more than five seconds to enter BIOS progress mode. To reset iDRAC (if not disabled in F2 iDRAC setup), press and hold the button for more than 15 seconds. Item 5 is the PCIe expansion slots for the low-profile PCIe cards. The PCIe expansion slots enable you to connect up to eight low-profile PCIe expansion cards. Item 6 is the Power Supply Unit (PSU1) that has AC PSU of 1100 W (1050 W for low line), 1600 W (800 W for low line), or 2000 W (1000 W for low line). Item 7 is the Power Supply Unit (PSU1) that has AC PSU of 1100 W (1050 W for low line), 1600 W (800 W for low line), or 2000 W (1000 W for low line). Item 8 is the IO module that provides Ethernet connectivity to the compute sleds in the enclosure. Item 9 is the I/O module ports. The I/O module ports provide network inteface for I/O modules. Item 10 is the I/O module indicators. I/O module indicators provide the status of the external network connectivity.
