Alienware Aurora R6 clicking noise

So I've looked it up for a bit but I can't find anything definitive on the matter. I'm pretty sure it's coming from the PSU but it doesn't look like anything is colliding with the fan. I'm not sure what it could be.

Here's a video of the problem. I'm kind of sure it's not a HDD problem but you never know. Anyone have an idea of what it is? It's brand new.

I recently bought a Aurora r6 service tag c56bjh2 ( I wasnt able to PM you )

ive had it nearly 30 days , and the sound card makes a lot of static like / digital sounding noise , especially while using headphones. Also ,  if your using a mic to talk to friends while gaming, they hear ALOT of noise and is very loud to them.

Yes, analog outputs and analog headsets do that sometimes.

Your best solution it to upgrade to a USB-based headset.

I just got my R6 on the 19th of June and after one long gaming session the same rattling everyone else in the thread have stated has started.  It is for sure coming from the Power Supply at the top of the machine so sounds like I need the Delta version that has been mentioned.

is there anyway you can reach out  to me so I can get this resolved?  The experience is slightly disappointing for me as a new Dell user as I bought the Aurora based on the majority of the positive things I have read.  I had power supply issues on my old HP and that is why I went with the model and cooling system I did to avoid this issue and get it right out of the gate.  Hopefully I can get a quick resolution as outside of the power supply noise it seems to run great so far.

I can't send you a PM with the service tag. When I go out to your profile I can see actions but that is not an option for me.

Same experience as other posters. I have Followed him and still only the three options.

When I click his name and look at his profile, there are only three options -- badge, vcard, and RSS feed. No option to PM for me.

Hi Alienware-Rodrigo! I bought an Aurora R6 three months ago and now it has this PSU fan noise problem too.

I followed you already but the "Message" option are not there, I also tried sending you message in the forum inbox page and it says "You can only send messages to your Friends / Connections (people following you)". It seems that I can send you PM only after you add/follow me.

Could you advise the next step? I read through this thread and it looks like replacing the PSU with DELTA unit will be a quick fix. Looking forward to your reply. Thanks!

Hello,

If anyone is having an issue with the PSU in their Alienware making a loud or clicking noise, please create a new post on the forum so we (Alienware representatives) can get to it sooner. We need to authorize the user first in order for us to be able to receive a private message, so if you do not have the option to PM me, please create a new post and me or the other Alienware representatives will assist you right away.
