Startup--PIN vs. Password
I'm stuck in Denver with a Dell laptop (Windows 8) I can't open. It used to offer choice of PAssword (which I don't have) or PIN (which I do). Now it offers no choice--only Password--so I can't get in. I've tried rebooting , removing battery, no luck. Any advice??

You will need to contact Microsoft and have them reset your password. Dell does not have any generic passwords to help you get into Windows.
