The Dell student discount in the United States is available to high school students 16 and older, full time and part time college and university students, and post secondary / trade school students who verify their status through SheerID and shop on Dell.com. 

  • High school students: Students 16 years of age or older enrolled in a U.S. high school.
  • College and university students: Full time or part time students enrolled in eligible U.S. colleges or universities.
  • Post secondary / trade school students: Students enrolled in recognized post secondary programs or trade schools in the United States.

If you qualify and complete verification, you can use the Dell student discount on eligible purchases on Dell.com.

To receive your Dell student discount when you shop on Dell.com, sign in to your Dell account, register for Dell Rewards, verify your student status through SheerID, and then shop eligible products. Your discount will be automatically applied at checkout.

1. Sign in or create a Dell account.
Go to Dell.com and sign in to your Dell My Account, or create a new account if you do not already have one.
2. Register for Dell Rewards.
During account creation, select the Dell Rewards option to register and start earning rewards on eligible purchases.
3. Verify your student status.
In your account’s membership section, select the student discount program and complete the SheerID verification process.
4. Shop and check out on Dell.com.
Once your student status is verified, your Dell student discount will be automatically applied to eligible products in your Dell.com cart at checkout.

To get verified for the Dell student discount in the United States, you must sign in to your Dell account, open the student discount program in the membership section, and complete the SheerID verification form, including any requested documentation.
1. Sign in to or create your Dell My Account on Dell.com.
2. Go to the membership tab and select the student discount program.
3. Click Verify to open the SheerID verification form.
4. Provide the requested personal information. Make sure your name and other details match your official documents.
5. Upload documents if SheerID requests them to confirm your enrollment, such as a student ID, class schedule, or tuition receipt.
6. Submit the form and wait for SheerID to process your verification.

No. You do not need an academic email address to verify as a student for the Dell student discount. SheerID will verify your student status using the information and documentation you provide, such as a student ID, class schedule, or tuition receipt.

In most cases, verification for the Dell student discount through SheerID is almost instantaneous. Occasionally, SheerID may need to review your documents manually, which typically takes about 20 minutes
