Note: Be aware that using a large Phillips or Flat Head screwdriver may result in damage to the head of the screws. This would make their removal impossible without specialty tools that are not available to our onsite engineers.
 

 

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Power Supply Unit:

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets (that is The external mains power cable).

  2. With the computer on it is side, press down on the PSU release latch [1] and using the handle, pull the PSU out of the computer [2].

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

Caution: The computer does not turn on while the side cover is off. If you remove the cover while the computer is turned on, it shuts off.
 
  1. Press the Latch in the middle of the cover.

  1. Pull the Latch up [1] and rotate it to release the side cover [2]. Lift the cover away from the Computer.

  2. With the computer on it is side, pry up the four (4) retention tabs on the top of the bezel and rotate up from the bottom of the bezel to remove it from the chassis.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Side Cover and the Front Bezel.

  2. With the computer on it is side, press the blue unlock button at the top of the chassis above the ODD bay [1] and slide the latch directly on the chassis that is directly above the bezel [2].

  1. Rotate the bezel up and out of it is bay in the chassis [3].

 

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Expansion Cards:

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Side Cover.

  2. Check for any additional cables from the card and disconnect them from the computer [1]. Press [2] and rotate the blue latches [2] to unlock the cards from the chassis expansion slots.

  1. Check for a locking lever at the back of the card, if there is one - unlock it before pulling the card up and out of the chassis.

Note: Some Expansion cards require extra power to run correctly, this is usually with an extra power or fan cable. Some types of graphics cards include a locking latch at the back of the card where it is secured to the slot in the motherboard.

 

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the PCIe Holder:

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Side Cover and any Expansion Cards.

Note: Before you start you must check if any full-length expansion cards are installed, if so you must remove these cards before you begin.
 
  1. Disconnect the two power cables from the PCIe Holder [1] and then press the blue release tab and slide the holder up and out of the computer [2].

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Side Cover.

  2. Press both securing tabs on the shroud in towards the middle of the shroud from the front and back of the shroud [1].

  1. Lift the Air Shroud out of the computer. [2]

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Front System Fan:

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Side Cover, Front Bezel, PCIe Holder, any expansion cards, and the Air Shroud.

  2. Unroute all the SATA, ODD [1, 2 & 3], and USB 3.1 [4] cables coming from the Card Holder and unroute them from the securing clip on the back of the fan bracket [5].

  1. Disconnect the fan cable from the motherboard [1], remove the screw that secures the fan to the chassis [2] and lift the release tab to pull it up and out of its slot in the chassis [3].

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Fan Bracket:

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Side Cover, Front Bezel, 5.25" ODD Bracket, any expansion cards, and the Air Shroud.

  2. Press in the release tabs and disconnect the two (2) fan cables from the motherboard.

  1. Remove the three (3) screws that secure the bracket to the chassis [1] and lift the bracket up and out of the computer [2].

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Rear System Fan:

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Side Cover and Air Duct Shroud.

  2. Disconnect the two (2) fan cables from the motherboard [1] and unroute the cables from the clip on the bottom of the PSU cage [2].

  1. Remove the two (2) screws that secure the fan bracket to the chassis [1], Press in the blue tab [2] and pull the top of the bracket away from the chassis and lift it out of its slot in the chassis.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Side Cover and Air Shroud.

  2. Pull the securing clips away from the memory.

  1. Lift the memory up and out of the slot.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Side Cover.

  2. Remove the screw [1] from the securing bracket at the rear of the slim ODD and push the drive towards the front of the computer [2].

  1. Pull the drive the remaining way out of the front of the chassis.

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the 5.25" Optical Disc Drive (ODD) Bracket:

    4. Remove the Side Cover, Front Bezel and 5.25" ODD.

  2. Remove the black filler from the chassis.

  1. Remove the five (5) screws that secure the bracket to the chassis [1 & 2].

  1. Slide the ODD bracket towards the back of the computer until it is possible to tilt it up and out of the computer.

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Side Cover, Front Bezel and 5.25" ODD Bracket.

  2. Disconnect one end of the speaker cable from the front I/O module [1].

  1. Press in and hold the tabs on the speaker [2] and then slide it out the front of the computer [3].

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Side Cover, Air Duct Shroud, and any Expansion Slot Cards.

  2. Press the release latch [1] away from the battery until the battery appears from the socket [2]. Lift the battery out of the computer.
