In this video, we'll have a look at how to update the VxRail management accounts using the VxRail plug in Vcenter. Starting on VxRail version 4.7 0.300. The VxRail V centre plug in has an option to update the management accounts that the VxRail appliances use to connect to the VCENTER and the nodes to make sure the new password is working correctly.
Log into VCENTER using the management account. Click the menu option and select VxRail. Click on the update, passwords, link, update the password and click on submit when the password has been updated successfully. Click on finish for VxRail version 7.0 0.410 select configure then scroll to find the system option under VxRail. Here. You should have an option to select update, passwords, update the password and click on submit when the password is updated successfully. Click on finish for VxRail versions. 0.210.
The U I has changed the password and certificate management function have moved to the plug in security page, select configure and scroll down to the security options under VxRail. Here you will find the update passwords option, input the updated password and click on submit and then click on finish when this is completed successfully. A new feature has been introduced to VxRail 8.0 0.210.
You do not have to go to the V center to change the password. VxRail plug in can update the password simultaneously to VxRail and VxRail manager. Click on the edit option, input the correct and current password and then the new password when this is completed, successfully, click on apply and now click on finish and that's it.
